Hi,
I´m back from summer desert Marocco.
It was hard, to be honest sometimes very hard, much warmer than expected on Sahara, but Eco-Worthy worked very fine as @galli wrote.
If someone is interested, I can recommend this lithium battery.
No overheating, no problem with energy, no problem at all.
I would just improve a phone application, but for such low price I can live with.
Have a fine summer Nuggets.

I’m curious to see what you’re reporting after your Marocco trip.
Dankbare Grüße!

Radim,
What have you done, to protect your fridge, from this heat?
Did it work well?

Hello Radim,
it's great to hear that you had a wonderful trip. However, those temperatures are definitely beyond what I would consider comfortable.
I wanted to ask if you could provide us with a detailed list of the components you had to replace or modify as part of the battery upgrade. I'm particularly interested because I also have solar panels on the roof and I'm still somewhat unsure about which components need to be changed or upgraded.
Thank you very much!
Tom

Hi Champawe,
very good question !!!
Fridge was running for 6 weeks nonstop, but I had to increase the target temperature to 12 C from normal 6 C in desert areas, because it's indicator light was flashing, guess because couldn´t cool enough.
I was worried about the fridge many times, we wouldn´t be able survive without cool water (each drank about 7 liters a day), but somehow fridge kept cooling.
Much worse was to charge any electronic device, from phones to laptops, because it's overheating protection.
We found only way to charge devices to cool down them by AC ... and it helped well.
Kind regards,
Radim

Hello Tom,
asked Thomas (norge) before purchased LiFePo4 and read about his improvements here on forum.
No change in electrical system was done and everything is running well, just extension cables because of turned polarity.
BMS sends 40 - 45 A if charged by dynamo up to about 90% of battery capacity, then slows down to about 10 - 15 A and final 2 A respectively.
I just have purchased new Votronic solar regulator (MPPT 260 CI - Art. no. 1718) because my old Votronic was not optimatised for lithium charging curve and it's my primary source of recharging.
Really love Votronic solar regulators especially because of active coolling unlike for example Victron.
Have tried that and it helps very well in summer hot days.
I will probably install Fraron charger in the future for the same reason (lithium charging curve), but have used 230 V hookup once in last year before of winter trip only, so I'm not sure if is it needed.
Must think twice
.
If you like to try LiFePo4 in your Nugget I wouldn't be affraid of Eco-Worthy.
Price is fair as well as quality and what is important too - sits in Nugget perfectly.
You can always return back to Exide Equipment Gel - by the way good stuf too
.
List is as follows:
1. Votronic 1718 - solar regulator MPPT 260 CI - charging curve set to 14,4 V (there are four options)
2. extention cables 16 mm2 at you lenght, Amazon ASIN: B09KV7PZSP
3. connection points, Amazon ASIN: B0FVLVF6VC
If you have more questions please feel free to ask.
Good luck.
Kind greetings,
Radim
