Grüße aus Finnland. Ich bedauere, dass der Text in Englisch verfasst ist, aber ich kann Deutsch sehr schlecht. Wenn Sie helfen können, können Sie auch auf deutsch antworten :)

I just bought used 2015 Westfalia Nugget here in Finland. My major problem is that there is no Westfalia/Nugget related user manual with the car. Transit Custom manual there is but it's not so helpful with the camper parts of van. I know that there is Nugget manuals maybe only in German, but that's ok. But from where can I get one?
- I asked from Westfalia and they only said "Nugget is Ford product, ask Ford".
- The German dealer who originally sold the car for previous owner has not answered anything.
- From www.z-order.de/handbook/ I can't find Nugget manual.
- Local Ford dealer here in Finland says they also can't help.

So, I'm would be very happy if someone can tell where the manual can be ordered, or can send important parts of Nugget (2013 ->) manual for me even as photos.

I also have a couple of acute problems with my Nugget:

1) where is the 230V battery charger for the two 95Ah batterys? The problem is that i suppose it does not charge the batteries even though 230V is connected. Central electronics shows that 230V is on and the battery is charging, but the voltage is only 12,4V or something and that's the same voltage as without 230V connected. When car is running, everything is fine, voltage is about 14V.

2) There is multiple 12V fuses next to the 230V protection switch and under the passenger seat with batteries. Which fuse is on which device?

Yes, maybe the answers is in the manual, but I don't have it :( So it would be good to have at least some of the parts of the manual in the manual, even as photographs or scanned.

Wenn Sie helfen können oder die Antworten kennen, können Sie gerne antworten. Schlechtes Englisch und Deutsch sind ok :)

Regards,

Timo

Hi Timo,

an overview on the Nugget manuals and downloads as pdf has been created by Norge

here

Battery configuration strongly depends on the manufacturing date of the Nugget.
Battery charger is below the kitchen block.

Good luck

Hej Timo,

welcome to Nuggetforum :)

... and sometimes the plug of the charger is not connected correctly - please check the fuses first - then the plug.

There are only a few screws to unscrew.

Good luck and best regards

Thank you both! Good that the manual was found :)

It's quite cold and dark here in Finland just now, so maybe I'll try to find charger tomorrow. I don't understand why I haven't seen it... If I figure right, it's somewhere near water tanks and gas bottle?

Timo

It's INTO the kitchen block right under the gas stove / kitchen sink - best way is to pull the back seats forward and unscrew nearly five screws of the bottom cover of the upper kitchen part.

For more informations please take a look at this thread

Thanks, there the charger is :) All fuses and connectors are ok.

I measured voltages from charger connector and there is nearly 14V at "PWR SB" but only 12,4V at "PWR VB". I suppose that SB is cars own starting battery and VB is 95Ah AGM batteries.

When I took off the 25Ah charging fuse from AGM batteries, voltage at chargers VB connector drops at below 11 volts.
When all other connectors except 230V are disconnected, there is no voltage at charging pins. So I assume there is something wrong with charger or sensor(s).

About what the temperature sensor resistance should be and is there any other sensors that can affect the charging voltage? Any ideas what to do next?

Timo

Hi,

I live in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area in southern Finland. And yes, Finland is a wonderful country to travel with camper in summer with its many lakes etc. I highly recommend to visit. But don't come here during the winter with Nugget
