Invertor 12 to 230 V wurde erstellt von radim
Dear all,

I finally have a new Nugger from MGS at home and now is a time to improve the outfit.

Because I never go to camping sites, but always stay in the wild or on parking places, as the first need to get 230 V on board from the 12 V.

I added the invertor to an other campers, so know how to do it... but I would like to ask somebody where is the best place to fit it in the Nugget.

My idea is to connet the invertor to the original Nugget 230 V plugs and get the 230 V from original electricity.

Please let me know your experince with fitting invertor to the Nugget.

Big thanks in advance.

Dear Radim!

I worked this out for my Nugget. The inverter is located below the cooking place near to the fuses. It needs cooling, therefore it did not mount somewhere inside a box. Near the fuses I cutted the line from the outside power outlet and introduced my inverter with an extra FI breaker. After this I indeed feed with the inverter all inside power outlets. My inverter will switch itself automatically off if I would connect an external 230V power source. Make sure you still keep the line to the 12V charger connected directly to the outside power outlet otherwise you would get a loop, which I had first for a couple of minutes ;-)

Good luck and cheers, Arno

Thank you guys ...

As I made a searching, I will add Waeco SinePower 1000W with residual current circuit breaker already included in.

Agree with Arno007, place under the kitchen is supposed to be fine.

One more thanks to Feuernugget .... great gallery and improvemnets .... I will have more questions to you soon.

Cheers Radim

Hi Radim,

mine is underneath the water basin. Take it out and there is some space left of it.

I wouldnÂŽt use a 1000W inverter, if you use the full power your battery wonÂŽt last long. If you use only a part of the max power the inverter will work inefficent.
What do you need 1000W for?

Mine is only 150W.

I think it is important to use a sinus inverter, they are more expensive but will give you 230V in almost the same quality then at home. Cheap once use only a step(stair) curve. Some equipment may not work proper on this inverters.

Best

Frank
