Hi, I'm a newbie here; please excuse me for using English.

Hello from England to all Nugget owners; I can't believe this vehicle isn't more popular as to me it is an ideal multi-purpose vehicle and the build quality is superb.

I am buying a HEOSwater connector for our 2007 High Roof Nugget and I would like to know whether the Nugget has an overflow valve built into its water inlet. I have tried the HEOSwater connector for water inlets without an overflow connector, and the water leaks out, but before I exchange it I would like your advice.

Hi Peter,

my Nugget build in 08 doesn't have an overflow valve. I think everything is ok, if water leaks at your connector (outside the vehicle) by filling the water inlet. Try to fill only with low pressure, because the air in the water tank has to escape through the same tube you are using to fill.
Don't try to use a connector for inlets with overflow valve. Remember, that the air inside has to escape. I think the sealing of the connection between filling tube and water reservoir isn't build for water pressure around 2bar!

Too much water is leaking out, even at low pressure so I've returned the item to the supplier. Thanks for your advice; I won't try the version for inlets with overflow valve.

There is another supplier I may try at www.gillonsgadgets.co.uk/watercoupler.htm . If this is successful I'll let the forum know.

I use only a piece of a Coiled Watering Hose with open end.
Like this, but in 1/2\" :

or
example from Germany
I cut it at 1,5 meter (so on road it's very small in the battery charger cabinet).
I put the open end a little bit down in the filler neck,
so the water leak out, not till then the tank is full!

I like the coiled hose suggestion; I am using a very long flat blue hose which is difficult to wind back onto a carrier without three hands - much cursing...!

Also, I like the suggestion of filling the tank directly, but I'm not sure that I have patience to open up the tank each time.

I have received a reply from www.gillonsgadgets.co.uk/watercoupler.htm who says that his invention would be suitable, and I'm tempted to try it, perhaps with a coiled hose.

It's not really a problem filling it with an ordinary hose, but anything that makes life easier is worthwhile!
