For sure this will be a quiet difficult task. the plattform to buy (camping)cars is www.mobile.de and there i found 4 offers only

and since the big nugget is not under production since years i doubt there will be many for rent. but maybe youre lucky!

The 'Big' Nugget is - eaven in Germany - much more rarely than the 'common' Nugget (without bathroom).
One reason for that is that the 'Big' is only available directly from Westfalia, the normal Nugget from every Ford dealer.
The other is of course the price - and special discounts - Ford dealers gave much higher discounts than Westfalia itself ...
Until a few years you could rent a 'Big' at the german ADAC (same as AA in GB), but actually there are only a few rental agencies left.
F.e. the one which 'blackfire' mentioned above.
Good luck in finding and choosing the right car for your purpose

Thank you for the fantastic responses.
I have checked the links offered and am now rethinking whether the Big Nugget is right for us.
We were considering it as we thought we would need the extra space but the more we look at it the more we think the SWB high roof meets our needs.
